IDEIAS EMERGENTES (IMERGE)
is a cooperative based in the city of Porto, Portugal. Among its objectives are the production and diffusion of artistic activities that can actively contribute to the emergence of new cultural dynamics of local, regional and European* character. Endorsing projects and that can actively add value to citizenship and develop new territories and forms for artistic intervention encouraging critic thinking and creative abilities.
* Projects and partnerships with Spain, France, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Estonia, among others.

Relying on a multidisciplinary team, IMERGE develops activities in three priority fields:

- Production and diffusion of cultural projects in areas as architecture, design, literature, music, visual arts and performative arts;
- General services, being specialized in the organization of cultural events, third party projects, consulting and cultural management;
- Training, by offering courses and workshops aiming the introduction or the development of technical skills in various areas of cultural and artistic creation.

Espaço IMERGE

IDEIAS EMERGENTES created a space for artistic diffusion, “Espaço IMERGE”, defined as a place for contemporary art in its most complete and comprehensive diversity, promoting new talents and giving visibility to alternative and/or emerging projects.

The space combines a art gallery, a coffee-shop and a design boutique. It hosts regular exhibitions and artistic events on a multidisciplinary context: Art, Architecture, Design, Performance and Music.

IMERGE is an informal and chill-out space where you can get to know some emerging authors in the areas of design, accessories, jewellery, illustration, photography, among others.
